Road to Miss America 2012:
Miss South Carolina 2011, the 75th annual edition of the Pageant, will crown a new winner on July 2 in Columbia.
There will be 43 Miss contestants and 46 Teen contestants vying for Miss South Carolina 2011 and Miss South Carolina Teen 2011 tittle.
Preliminary competitions will take place June 28-30. The final pageant and crowning of new title-holders will take place on July 2.
The Miss South Carolina Pageant, previously held in Spartanburg, is moving to Columbia this year in order to be more centrally located for contestants and their families. The city of Columbia’s support for the pageant was also a deciding factor in the location change, according to a press release.
Individual preliminary night tickets are $37.50 and the competition finals are $57.50.
